Nadir Magsi Wins the 15th Cholistan Desert Rally 2020

Cholistan Desert Jeep Rally is a rally raid type of off-road race, organised by the TDCP in Pakistan. The event is annually run in the Cholistan Desert venue. It was first introduced in 2005 by Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab.

Opening ceremony of Cholistan Desert Jeep Rally was held on 11 February 2020 at DHA Bahawalpur. The qualifying rounds started from Derawar Fort on 13 February 2020. Organized by the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP), the rally will cover three districts of Punjab, including Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalnagar, and Bahawalpur.

Rally's qualifying races were held on 14th and 16th Feb, 2020 in the majestic desert of Cholistan and is meant to promote Cholistan's culture & heritage and has now become biggest Motor Sports event of Pakistan.


Vehicle inspection, drivers and navigators’ medical check-up, drivers’ conference and qualifying round was held on the 13th Feb 2020. Race will begun on the 14th Feb 2020. There are more than 120 different categories of vehicles participating in the race.


Women drivers also took part in 3 categories. Vehicles completed 250km distance on 14th Feb while 15th Feb was the rest day for drivers. They resumed their journey on 16th Feb and completed another 220km distance. Drivers covered the desert area in Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalnagar.
